Welcome to the CPIT Career Centre. Located in the Rakaia Centre Atrium, Madras Street Campus it is open to students and prospective students from Monday to Friday; 9am to 5pm during which you can access all the excellent career information and career resources.
A Career Counselor is available at the drop-in times. The following services are provided:

If you are deciding on career and study options, getting the right information on which to make your decisions is important. The Career Centre welcomes students and visitors. We have a great range of useful career information and resources that you can access. Please feel comfortable about coming in and browsing through our reference library.
The Career Centre contains:

• Information on Careers and Training: we ensure we have up to date prospectuses of all the main Tertiary providers throughout NZ; the Career Services 'Courses Galore' and 'Jobs Galore' books; and access to the internet available so clients can source information about occupations, training, and employment trends from KiwiCareers and other useful websites.
• 'Career Map' created by the CPIT career centre which shows the process of career planning and the ongoing relationship between study and work.
• 'Career Wise' handouts that go with the Career Map such as: 'Making Career Decisions', 'Job Hunting Methods', 'Job Knowledge', 'Informational Interviewing', and 'CV Preparation'.
• 'Career Voyage' a computer program that relates a person's interests to occupations and gives information about those occupations.
• Career related books and videos available for clients to read and view.
