Every opportunity is given to students to enjoy their study and benefit from a New Zealand education. There are many support services available to international students. These include:
- English language assistance - for assignments, essays, exam preparation, etc
- an academic advisor in each faculty, to assist international students
- International Club
- free airport pick-up
- community cultural groups and support
- Language Self Access Centre
this is a drop in centre freely available to students for use in their own time. Materials are supplied for students to use without teacher assistance at all levels of English Language.
- Computer suites are also available on a 24 hour access basis. Use of email is free and there is limited free use of the internet.
- Student Welfare
CPIT offers pastoral and academic support to students from overseas countries. Student welfare officers will assist with any matters concerning illness, student visas, accommodation and other needs. Assistance in students' native language is available when required.
